The hilly territory and the vineyards of Chianti are probably what has made this area famous. The grapes that give rise to wine are made consist of the following varieties: Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Malvasia bianca, Sauvignon, Merlot e Canaiolo.
The wine of this area comes with the DOCG denomination. It is a red wine with a ruby color tending to garnet. It has an harmonious flavour and with an aroma of almonds; it is a perfect wine to accompany any meal, including meats (especially with game) and the many cheeses from the region.
This area is host to many local producers and wine cellars which are open to visitors and wine tasting events.
